What a wedding quiz is for
A quiz gives the room something to do in the hour between the meal and the dancing, and it gives the two tables who have never met each other a reason to talk. It works best when it is about half trivia anyone can have a go at and half questions only the couple could set.
That second half is the bit people always mean to write and never get round to. So this page writes it with you: you answer a handful of ordinary questions about how you met and what you do, and AI turns each answer into a proper pub-quiz question, inventing three plausible wrong answers to sit alongside the right one. Your answer stays the right answer, in your own words. If a question does not sound like you, rewrite it, or change any of the wrong answers, or throw it out and use a different one.
Then you top it up from a catalogue of ready-made wedding trivia, put the four you like best on the card, edit anything that needs it, and print. Everything below is free, and nothing on this page asks you to sign up.

Six questions, four answers each, lettered A to D exactly as they appear in our live game. A5, two cards to a sheet of A4, so ten tables costs five sheets and a fold down the middle.
An answer key, for you
A second page with the right answer to every question and a line of explanation for the trivia. It says host's copy on it, and it is the one page that never goes on a table.
Nothing else on it
No score boxes, no team names, no marking, and nothing advertising us. Guests pick the card up between courses, argue about question three, and put it back down.

Answer: About $190, bought on Etsy Hers cost $90 and his $100. Mila wanted the thinnest possible platinum band, found one online, and hit "buy now".
Running it on the night
Put a card on every table before people sit down. It gives the two tables who have never met each other a reason to talk, and because nothing is handed in, nobody has to run it.
Keep the answer key yourself, or give it to whoever is doing the speeches. Four questions is deliberately small: a card on a table is competing with the starter, not with the bar.

Questions about the printable
Is it actually free?
Yes. No account, no email address, no card. Build the quiz, download the PDF, print it. We hope you like it enough to look at the live version, and that is the whole business model.
Do I have to make an account?
No. Nothing on this page asks you to sign up. If you decide afterwards that you want to run the quiz on guests' phones, that does need an account, but the printable never does.
How many questions should a wedding quiz have?
For a card that lives on the table, four. People read it between courses and argue about it, and a card with fifteen questions on it is a form. If you want fifteen to twenty questions, rounds and marking, that is a proper quiz night, and phones are better at it than paper.
What paper size is the PDF?
Page one is A4 landscape with two A5 cards on it, so a sheet folded down the middle makes two table cards. Page two is the answer key, A4 portrait, and you only need one of those.
Who writes the questions about us?
You do, in a sense. You answer a few plain questions about how you met, what you do and where the wedding is, and we turn each answer into a quiz question with three believable wrong answers next to the true one. Your facts are never changed or invented, only tidied up.
What if I don't want the personal questions?
Skip them. The trivia catalogue on its own makes a perfectly good card, and it looks the same either way.
Can I edit the questions?
Yes, before you download. The last step puts every question in front of you: the wording, the right answer and all three wrong ones, whether we wrote it or it came from our trivia. Once it is a PDF it is a PDF, but you can always come back and make another.
Can we run the same quiz on phones?
Yes, and it is the thing we actually make. Guests scan one QR code, answer on their phones, and the scores work themselves out. When you finish the printable there is a link that carries your questions straight over, so nothing gets retyped.
